The results of this Canadian study found that people tended to be more loving and careful with attractive children over more "homely" children. Uglier children were more often left unbuckled while riding in supermarket shopping carts and were paid less attention to than their cuter counterparts. Maybe the parents didn't want to be reminded of how unattractive they were cause we all know fugly people make even fuglier kids.
