William Bennett Doesn't Care About Black People
If you haven't heard by now, check out the comments that William Bennett (former Secretary of Education under Reagan) made on his talk radio show. But I do know that it's true that if you wanted to reduce crime, you could, if that were your sole purpose, you could abort every black baby in this country, and your crime rate would go down.You need to read the AP article to understand the context of why he even said this but better yet is that he apologizes for saying that "his point was that the idea of supporting abortion to reduce crime was 'morally reprehensible.'" Note that the AP article makes no mention of an apology for his overt racism.

Bennett said, "If you wanted to reduce crime, you could -- if that were your sole purpose -- you could abort every black baby in this country and your crime rate would go down. That would be an impossibly ridiculous and morally reprehensible thing to do, but your crime rate would go down..."
It was a clumsy example but given in the context of the whole interview and the topic, it was not overt racism.
He even said the idea was "morally reprehensible". I'm sure you've never said something that came out all wrong and the intent was mistaken. Must be nice.

Did you read that he repeated "but crime rate would go down" at the end of that quote? His remarks were not mistaken! To even bringing up such an idea is reprehensible, especially by someone who was in public office. Even the White House condemned his remarks.
Yeah, "violence worker" is quite the little reactionary. If you can stomach it, you should check out his horrific site.
People claim it's not racism if they agree with it. However, it is quite clearly, stating that black people are predisposed to commit violence, a belief that it is somehow genetically based. This is how the Holocaust started. "violence worker" is the kind of easily-led automaton that fascism was created for.
"Violence Worker" would have fit right in with the Storm Troopers. It'd be hard to find a Flying Monkey that screeches or shits any more than VW.
No matter how you cut the Bennett statement up and look at it, the statement was still an incredible piece of elitist, racist shit. And those who would defend it do no more than reveal their own racism.
Violence worker: timing has no relevance whatsoever. Again, I'm going to point out that he made the statement as a criticism on the argument that higher abortion rates has a correlation to lower crime rates.
He could have made his statement without referring to any given race but the fact is he did, because he believes that black people are responsible for most crime. If you subscribe to that misinformation well.... I guess that's your problem...
One more thing VW, it is nice, cause when I say stupid shit like this, the people I say it around understand the context. In such a public forum as he has, if he didn't want to be misunderstood, then he should have chosen his words more carefully.
